had a tough time to control the crowd.
Unbothered
of the burning sun, the people waited on the roadsides of the routes
form hours together. Without having breakfast, the women and children
were seen waiting for their turn to get inside the hall, where body

The
last ten minutes....
Just
before his body was to be lifted the atmosphere turned emotional.
Many of them broke down. Tears rolled down from the eyes of the staff
workers, drum beaters and other staff members assembled there.

Lathi
charge to disperse crowd
When
city's Mayor NM Rajeshwari, accompanied with Corporators rushed
towards Karikallu Thotti, where VIP's were giving entry.
As
there were more than 120 members in her entourage, the Police were
helpless and denied entry for all of them at the time.
Inspite
of the Mayor waiting for more than 45 minutes to gain entry, the
Mayor was not allowed through VIP entrance. After, holding talks with
the officials, she was left inside.
But,
the Corporators were asked to take enter though the common entry.
Angered
at this, the Corporators along with their followers tried to barge
inside. Taking advantage of this other people too followed them, thus
forcing the police to wield their lathis to disperse the general
crowd.
